The Cybersecurity Coalition for Education

The Cybersecurity Coalition for Education is a group of leading EdTech organizations committed to making cybersecurity preparedness and training more accessible for schools. The coalition pioneered a groundbreaking education-focused approach to measuring and improving cybersecurity readiness, the Cybersecurity Rubric (CR) for Education. Along with the rubric, the coalition provides training and certification designed to guide schools to cybersecurity readiness.

The Coalition is building strong relationships with school districts to provide a cybersecurity audit utilizing a unique rubric to critique the district’s cybersecurity standing. By working with this partner, we can provide the training pathway to the administration, IT staff, and educators to help fill in the gaps of lower ranked items. Examples would include training in industry certifications to fill in the knowledge gaps of staff.

CompTIA is the leading IT certification provider, with 75 million+ industry and tech professionals who design, implement, manage, and safeguard the technology within organizations. CompTIA provides their own training pathways for IT professionals.

Our goal is to become an Authorized Academy to provide industry-standard training to students and IT staff. David Termunde currently holds his CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainer) certification to jump start this program.
