Arbor Park School District 145 in Oak Forest, IL is the home of exPANDAbilities. Just like our inter-governmental agreements for special education, transportation, and finance, we are applying the same model to cybersecurity. By doing so, we can reduce costs, put pressure on vendors for the best pricing, and even enable shared licenses in certain cases. All funding will be used to support this initiative and cover costs associated with this consortium.
Arbor Park School District 145 (APSD145) is a public school district located in Cook County, IL serving the Oak Forest and Tinley Park communities. Our population includes 1,104 students, 98 FTE, with a total of 220 staff districtwide.
APSD145 is centrally located in the Midwest, served by two major airports (Midway and O’Hare), with numerous nearby hotel accommodations sufficient to host the expected number of attendees. The APSD145 campus has event space including classrooms for breakout rooms of at least 30 people, a large cafetorium, and two gymnasiums. Nearby, we also have access to conference centers and other neighboring districts to support larger events if needed. Our staff’s experience of hosting and participating in cyber competitions, expos, and training seminars allows us to create cohesive events.
